At the start of the pandemic, Andrew matched with Taylor on Hinge the night before she was heading home to New Jersey. Andrew asked for Taylor's number that night and she said, "I have a lot of stuff going on right now so I don't know what you're looking for." Andrew replied that he wasn't looking for anything really. (Little did they know 2 years later they would be planning their wedding!) Upon Taylor's return to Greenville, she had to quarantine for 14 days before returning to work. Throughout those two weeks, there were daily facetime calls where they watched movies, cooked dinner together, and talked for hours. Before Taylor's first shift back at the hospital they went for a walk around downtown Greenville and have been together ever since. Throughout the past two years, they have made many memories in Greenville, traveling together, and raising their dog Jersey.

Andrew says he knew he was going to propose the day he met Taylor. In August of 2021 Andrew purchased the ring with plans to propose surrounded by their friends and family with the help of their dog Jersey. The weekend of Fall for Greenville Taylor's parents and siblings came into town for a visit. That Saturday night Taylor was walking with her family, to what she thought was their dinner reservation, when her mom suggested a walk over the bridge at Falls Park. Taylor was walking on the bridge and got distracted looking at a beautiful Bernese Mountain dog when her sister nudged her to look up. Standing in front of her was Andrew with his parents and their closest friends behind him. Immediately Taylor started crying the happiest of tears and said yes to forever with her best friend.
