Fort Macon State Park

Just up the road from our wedding venue is Fort Macon State Park. ! We love taking walks here with Bogue early in the morning before it gets too hot and just so happens to be where we got engaged! You can visit the museum or take a walking tour of the fort. There's also public beach access here if you want to get your tan on.

Cape Lookout Lighthouse

Take the ferry over to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and National Seashore. You can climb the lighthouse or just spend the day enjoying the beach.

Morehead City Waterfront

Walk, eat, drink and shop on the Morehead City Waterfront! Some of our favorite spots downtown are Yellowfin, Ruddy Duck Tavern, Dee Gee's Gifts & Books, Jack's Waterfront Bar, Arendell Room Bar and Promise Land Market.
