Travel Note
If you plan on booking an Airbnb during your stay, here are a few of our neighborhood recommendations: Mt. Vernon: Syd and I lived here for about 7 years! This historic district is centrally located and has a handful of hip hotels and cool local restaurants/bars. Check out: Hotel Ulysses, Hotel Revival, and Hotel Indigo. Hampden: Right by our latest digs (and where all wedding festivities will take place), this neighborhood is known for its quirky vibe, cool shops, and some of the best eateries. While not a huge hotel spot there are plenty of airbnb options here! Remington: A cool neighborhood near Hampden with good vibes, hip local shops, and good eats. Charles Village: Right by John's Hopkins University--near Hampden and Remington. Fells Point: Down by the water, this is Baltimore's historic port district. If exploring by foot and pub culture are your vibe this is the neighborhood to check out. Some of Baltimore's top hotels and airbnbs are in this area. Keep in mind it can get a little lively on weekend nights. Canton: This neighborhood straddles Upper Fells Point, Patterson Park, and historic Highlandtown. While a bit further than other locales to the wedding action (about 15-20 min. away), this neighborhood hosts a lot nearby attractions (and the best tacos in Baltimore).
