We both swiped right! Just kidding... We had known each other for years through mutual friends, but it wasn't until the summer of 2015, when we both happened to be single, that fate finally stepped in. By July 4th weekend, there had been several months of flirtatious banter, late night karaoke bars, and poolside days (with said, mutual friends) before Shana finally agreed to a proper date with Andy. We rode bikes at the Virginia Beach boardwalk to see a concert down on the beach. Our connection was instant and we soon realized how easy it was to laugh and be around each other. (This is key, for life long love, right!?) The rest is basically history. Much like that first night, we have discovered a mutual appreciation for: live music, meaningful conversation, and whiskey drinks! 3 years of memories later: we've traveled from the east coast, to the west coast, and even down to the Caribbean, we've combined homes and families, and continue to have karaoke night as often as possible (in the kitchen now.) After coming to appreciate Shana's desire to chase down a good sunrise or sunset, Andy finally asked her to marry him in the same location it all began. Down at the beach. Watching the sunrise.
