At the beginning of October Andrew suggested one last trip before the holidays. We didn't have MUCH else going on except for work, an upcoming move, Andrew's house going on the market and looking to purchase a home together...so why not!? We arrived in Savannah Thursday and checked into the Marshall House, apparently the most "haunted" hotel in town...super romantic, right? Friday morning Andrew had booked a couples massage and brunch overlooking Forsyth Park. This man usually doesn't plan for his next meal, so I was very impressed with the itinerary. After we finished brunch he wanted to go take pictures in front of the famous fountain in the park...wanting pictures for instagram is weird for Andrew, but an offer I can never refuse. We wandered around with our watermelon mimosas, talking and stopping to take the occasional photo; as we headed toward the park exit Andrew awkwardly grabbed my hand and quickly pulled me VERY close to his face. Before I could ask what he was doing, he dropped down to one knee...and then two because he couldn't get the ring out of his pocket. "You're my best friend" was all I remember and about all he could get out before he slipped the most beautiful ring on my finger. There was a man playing guitar in the park and as soon as he saw, he began to play "Can't Help Falling in Love". Andrew couldn't take the credit for this guy, but little did I know, he had hired a photographer to capture the whole thing. We ended the day with steak and wine at 17Hundred90 in downtown Savannah. It was the best day planned by the most thoughtful man. We are so excited for the future and we can't wait to celebrate with the greatest family and friends in April of 2022!
