During the winter of 2010-11, we were introduced to each other by longtime friend, softball coach, and head of the elite Mass Drifters softball program Carol Savino. Though our introduction was brief, it provided another friendly face among the numerous coaches, players and parents. Over the following decade, we were extremely fortunate enough to enjoy our daughters playing together on the softball diamond allowing them to bond a little closer and compete alongside with one another while, enjoying our friendship. During the summer of 2022, we found ourselves once again together at a Drifters softball game, watching each of our youngest daughters playing together. A lot had changed in our personal lives over the past decade. As friends, we decided to take some time and share some of our experiences with each other, lending a compassionate ear and supporting each other through some of the difficult times we had experienced as well as reveling in and sharing our children’s successes. A few years have passed since that summer afternoon and our friendship has evolved into this wonderful, loving and caring relationship we now celebrate. We think Loretta Young said it best when she said, “LOVE ISN’T SOMETHING THAT YOU FIND. LOVE IS SOMETHING THAT FINDS YOU.” This is what we have come to embrace. Love found us when the time was right. On August 24, 2024, we walked across one of the two remaining covered bridges in all of New Hampshire, the Groveton Bridge and it was at this spot that our marriage proposal occurred. This town was special as it is home to the Fisk family legacy. We will now share in the Garczynski family legacy as we join our hands and hearts in matrimony in Philly. We thank you for sharing our day of love and happiness, and look forward to many years of “MORE.”
