Maid of Honor
Jessica and I met when we joined the same sorority at MSU. She's my number one adventure buddy (next to Andrew of course) and we always have such a riot together! From bar crawls (including Pancheros) to having Andrew give her a flight lesson, and tubing down a river for my birthday, this girl has always been there for me, good times and the bad. I can't even begin to explain how much this girl has become my family over the years and I would never change it. So excited to have her there next to me on our special day!
Best Man
Cam hasn't just been my brother, but one of my best friends my whole life. From growing up together and being boy siblings who never really fought, to even being at the University of Minnesota for a year together, Cam and I have always been close. We have done a ton together over the years, including to but not limited to prom, music festivals, and trips out to wherever either of us were living at the time. I couldn't ask for a better brother, or a better best man than Cam.
Bridesmaid
I met Sydney when I first went to visit Andrew's family's cabin in up north Minnesota. She is Andrew's sister and I'm so excited to have her become mine! She is such a fun, chill person and always willing to help out! Even when we got engaged she was there doing my hair and makeup and trying to get me to have a relaxed day! She was our artistic consult for the best engagement pictures ever and honestly couldn't have done it without her! Her hair and makeup skills are absolutely unrivaled so hopefully she can teach me some of her skills down the line!
Groomsman
Tate is more than just my brother-in-law and family at this point (and one time housemate), but one of my best friends. I'll never forget being skeptical of Sydney's high school boyfriend at the time when I was away at college, but Tate grew on me ever since. I have had the privilege of not only seeing Tate grow up, but grow up a little myself with him. I never thought I would get the feeling of having another brother but Tate has definitely been that to me. Tate and I have several shared interests that have helped us bond over the years and it wouldn't feel right to get married without him by my side.
Bridesmaid
The bond of sisterhood is forever when the first question asked between the two of you is "can I pet your pants?" (they were velour) Sisterly love at first sight with this one. She was definitely a grounding influence for me and put up with many years of shenanigans. She is so supportive of my dreams and goals and always encourages me to try even when the result is her falling asleep and I send 10,000 text messages, which she has the pleasure to wake up to. She is an awesome narrator for our live book reads and her character voices are the stuff of legends.
Groomsman
I first met Andy through church way back when I first moved to Rochester almost 20 years ago. We bonded over having many of the same interests, as well as living just down the road from each other. We have done a crazy amount of stuff together over the years, only really separated by the fact that we have lived several states apart for years. I think we both knew long ago that we would be lifelong friends, through good and ill, and any time we get together its like we never spent any time apart. Excited to have Andy be a part of my day after getting to be part of his.
Bridesmaid
Kristen is my little in the sorority and I will never let her forget it. Good thing she is such a calm and easy going person because she got saddled with a big like me. She always (if a bit begrudgingly) is along for the ride even though she thinks I'm being ridiculous. I love how still I can text her, no questions asked, to respond to whatever random thought has popped in my head-even as a new momma! This girl is my family and I always have so much fun seeing her!
Groomsman
David and I have a special relationship, he somehow befriended 17 year old me when he was in medical school. We have been kindred spirits on so much in life for so long, it sometimes has felt eerie how similar some of our growth has mirrored each other. I don't think I have ever traveled as much or as far for a friend as David, with trips to Jacksonville FL, Nashville TN, Seattle WA, and Ecuador to be around him. David is one of those friends I can always be 100% honest with, no matter the topic and it is always an absolute pleasure to catch up with him after time apart.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is the first friend I made at MSU, and college roommate, and wouldn't want it any other way. Talk about someone who always has my back and who I always have an awesome time with, you have Sarah! Back in college she would walk around campus with me to take pictures of every building on campus, have game nights, go to football games, and have kick ass Halloween parties and I would always have such a memorable time. No matter how long it's been since we've seen each other, it is always like no time has gone by. She is family and has always been such an integral part of my life! She always welcomes my friends and family in as her own and I am just so lucky to have her with me on this special day!
Groomsman
I had the pleasure of meeting Corey at a strange time of transition in both of our lives, about 8 years ago. We were both working in Germany and our first meeting we had dinner at a burger restaurant in Nuremberg and immediately I knew I had found someone I wanted to be friends with. Our next year or so living together and the trevails of our experiences abroad solidified our bond together. I never go more than a few days without texting Corey, he is consistently one of my sounding boards and I'm stoked to get another life milestone with him by me.
Bridesmaid
Jenny is my oldest friend, having first met at daycare when we were 6 months old. I can't even comprehend how much this girl has been my family over the 30 years (let that sink in) that we have had together. She is my beach buddy, Florida lover, wanna-be marine biologist and is always there for me no matter what. She was the first of my friends to meet Andrew and I was so nervous for her opinion. They got to meet on the beach (as if there were another option) and good thing he passed the test! Jenny is so incredibly loyal and easy-going, there was never a question in my head that I would have her standing here next to me on this incredible day.
Groomsman
I met Jens almost 20 years ago as well, through church much like Andy. Unlike that relatonship, Jens and I did not go to the same high school, but he has always been a great friend and given me what I needed... even I didn't know it at the time. I will never forget Jens just showing up to my house when I was younger to see what was up, even when introverted me really didn't want to see anyone at the time. Jens is one of the hardest working and intentional people I have ever met, and I know for certain that having him in my life has made me a better person.
Bridesmaid
Truly my sister. What a wonderful human. She married my brother what feels like a million years ago and has since become my sister. From the beginning she has always included me and she has just the biggest heart and the best energy and she always is easy-going. Even managing two kids under 5 she is still one of the most positive people I've ever met. We share our loves of yoga, cosmos and adventure and I think we need a vacation away sooner rather than later with all of those things. I have come to rely on her and really value her opinion. She shares a lot of the same attributes that Andrew has so it's no wonder I love them both so much!
Groomsman
Jamie being Patty's older brother, I was little intimidated initially when meeting him. After all, he probably stands a good six inches over me! But Jamie is a really friendly guy who it seems makes friends with nearly everyone who gets to know him. Jamie is super easy to just be around, and I am lucky to get to be a part of their family now too, getting to be an uncle to Jamie's two daughters.
Flower Girl
My little nieces will be our flower girls! So excited to get them all dressed up and have them as part of our special day!
