In Northern California, Andrew and Nicky fell in love—over sushi, chocolate, and books. Not necessarily together, and definitely not in that order. Just a week later, Andrew asked Nicky to be his girlfriend. It must have been really good chocolate. Soon after, they were celebrating Christmas together in Fort Bragg. Andrew, all heart, surprised Nicky with a Douglas Fir tree in their hotel room—she wouldn’t have to spend the holiday alone. From that moment on, their love story was full of little gestures and big feelings. They quickly discovered how much they shared: a deep love for family, a strong work ethic, a sense of adventure, and a joy for learning and laughter. Christmas eventually became a beautiful fusion with Hanukkah, and they’ve come to cherish both their differences and their similarities—celebrating the quiet moments and the joyful chaos alike. Since 2020, their family has grown to include two beautiful daughters. Making a home together, and building a life centered around love and family, is what they hold sacred.
