Answer

Yes! One of the special traditions we’ll be incorporating into the ceremony is the "Jumping the Broom". This is a symbolic act, often tied to African American and African cultural traditions, representing the couple’s union and the sweeping away of the past as they start a new chapter together. During the ceremony, we will both jump over a broom as a gesture of commitment and unity. We’d love for the wedding party to join us in celebrating this meaningful moment! If you have any questions or need help with the specifics, feel free to ask.

Is there any specific gift or contribution expected for the couple?

Answer

We want to emphasize that gifts are not necessary—your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for! However, if you’d like to contribute in some way, we would greatly appreciate any funds to help us make our honeymoon even more special. We’ve set up a honeymoon fund for anyone who would like to help us celebrate our first trip as a married couple. Thank you so much for your love and support!

What do I do if something unexpected comes up?

Life happens, and we totally understand! If anything comes up and you’re unable to attend or something changes, just send us a quick text. No worries at all—everything is good! We just want you to enjoy the day and be comfortable, so don’t stress if things don’t go exactly as planned. We’re just happy to have you be a part of our celebration!

Are there any restrictions on social media or photos?

Answer

There are no restrictions on social media or photos—we want everyone to share the love and all the magic from our big day! Just a heads-up: Nadia doesn’t have social media anymore, so feel free to tag the wedding if you'd like, but be sure to save some of the magic for us to enjoy later. We just ask that you focus on being present during the ceremony and reception and leave the phones aside for those moments. We can't wait to see the memories you capture!
