This love story started in 2017 when there were a boy and a girl who were tired of being lonely. They both decided that after years of being single, it was their time to shine. Being this awkward Engineer, Andrew didn't know how he was going to meet anyone, and being this awkward college student, Mikaela didn't know either. After struggling for some time to find someone new, they both happened to download the same dating app, they both swiped for each other's photos, and the rest is history. Mikaela's sister believed that this fairy tale was too good to be true... but lo and behold, three years later, we are here celebrating true love <3

August 15th, 2020: Andrew and Mikaela piled into their rental car and started their adventure to Fort Collins, Colorado. After dealing with the pandemic and Mikaela healing from double jaw surgery, it was a much-needed break from everything going on in their lives. Since they knew that many places had closed because of the pandemic, their only plan was to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. The first time Andrew took Mikaela to Colorado, he took her up to Estes Park, where she fell in love with the place. After walking through the National Park, they ended up having a Picnic on a rock sitting on Bear Lake. They claimed that "Their Rock" and have been looking forward to going back ever since. Andrew knew that this was exactly where he wanted to ask Mikaela to Marry him... he just needed to figure out how to get her there without it being too obvious. Luckily for him, Mikaela loves Colorado, so when he asked her if she wanted to go on an impromptu road trip to her favorite place, she did not hesitate to say YES! August 20th, 2020: Andrew and Mikaela got up early and headed towards the National Park. Mikaela was so excited to go back to her favorite place. Andrew was nervous as ever, as he had to make last-minute adjustments to his plans due to the ring not arriving as scheduled, and the weather forecast was now predicting rain. Even though everything seemed to be going wrong for Andrew, it ended up being the perfect day for both of them. Since Andrew knew what was going to happen that day, he decided that they should start by going on a short walk through the park (mostly so he could calm himself and prepare for the big moment). After walking around for what felt like a lifetime, they headed towards their spot to have a traditional picnic lunch. After sitting and talking, eating their lunch, and watching someone take wedding photos, Andrew knew it was his time to shine. He got down on one knee and asked Mikaela to marry him! Of course Mikaela said yes!
