We are staying at the Barcelo Maya Riviera, an all-inclusive resort in Quintana Roo, Mexico (about an hour away from Cancun). Barcelo is a collection of 5 resorts (Palace, Caribe, Tropical, Colonial, and Adults-Only), and we will be staying in the Adults-Only section, which gives us access to all the other resorts as well!
We’re so sorry to hear that! Celebrate with us by adding songs to our Spotify playlist! This will be played during the reception, so all genres welcome! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/27BREUDj9hPnJxshHmBnjQ?si=Fmpe-n5wRXyOPO7HwcsTxg&pi=PGOE037EQuus_&pt=db3292cdce61b890ebe32d1bb66a62a4
Buffets are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. There are different buffets at each of the resorts, so if you aren’t interested in the selection at the Adults-Only, walk down to one of the sister resorts! Depending on how many nights you stay or your premium status, you may have the option for an “a la carte” dinner, which is what they call a reservation at one of their onsite restaurants. These cannot be reserved ahead of time and are a part of the check-in process once you get to the resort.
There is a “no shirt, no shoes, no service” policy for the buffets. Swim cover-ups are acceptable. For “a la carte” dinners (booked reservations at restaurants), men must wear pants or formal shorts (no swimwear or athletic material), closed-toed shoes or sandals in good condition (no crocs or athletic slides), and cover their shoulders. Two a la carte restaurants require long pants and closed toe shoes for men. For specific information, check the posted information on their website.
