OUR STORY In early 2020, what was meant to be a spontaneous vacation to Punta Cana became completely life-changing. On the very first day in Punta Cana, we met each other. From that moment, something just clicked. We didn’t even speak the same language, yet somehow we understood one another perfectly. What began as a simple dinner turned into many more; long conversations, walks along the beach, laughter, and a connection neither of us could ignore. Every day of that vacation was spent together, and by the time it came to an end, we knew this wasn’t something we were ready to let go of. When we were back in different countries, we kept talking every single day. Then, just weeks later, the world changed. Borders closed, flights were grounded, and uncertainty took over as COVID reshaped life for everyone. One night, we learned that the Dominican Republic would be closing its borders the very next day. Without knowing what would happen with work, school, or anything else, we made another leap of faith. A flight was booked that same night, and within hours, we were together again -choosing love over fear. We spent nearly three months in the Dominican Republic, getting to know each other deeply, learning about our cultures, and building the foundation of our life together. What followed was a journey defined by distance, determination, and devotion. We navigated long-distance across countries, a global pandemic, career changes, and immigration challenges; always choosing each other, again and again. Then, another leap of faith awaited us. Melody received a full scholarship to study in Spain. Even though we didn’t know anyone there, or how we would navigate a completely new country, we decided together to take this opportunity. Leaving everything behind, we moved to Spain, trusting in each other and in the journey ahead. Together, we traveled, discovered new cultures, and learned that home isn’t a place; it’s being together. Through every challenge, one thing never changed: our commitment to one another. In February 2025, surrounded by the magical landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey, we took the next step in our journey and said yes to a lifetime together; continuing a love story that began with a leap of faith and grew into a forever promise. Today, we are endlessly grateful, for the journey, the lessons, and a love that crossed borders, languages, and continents to bring us here. And now, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
