Happily Ever After Starts Here…

From PA, Andrew drove to Orlando, FL, to start his Disney College Program internship. For Melanie, it was a 2-hour drive from home. We met just 2 days after moving in and quickly became friends who happened to be working at Epcot together. One ride to work quickly turned into late-night movies, long walks, and heartfelt conversations at our favorite parks. It was very obvious that this was the beginnings of a fairytale. Now, five years after our first date, we are excited to celebrate our wedding with you and the beginning of our happily ever after.

Our first date, clearly, had to be Disney World. We spent the day at Magic Kingdom, laughing, riding every ride we could, and soaking in the magic together. In between attractions, we stopped for ice cream, where Andrew asked Melanie for a piece of gum “to freshen his breath,” a small moment that would later become one of our favorites. We ended our night with the Happily Ever After fireworks show, and an almost first kiss.

Andrew knew he wanted the next chapter to be just as meaningful as where it all began. He spent months planning the perfect moment to ask Melanie to spend forever with him. On December 26th, we celebrated Christmas and personal goals back at Epcot. We also found ourselves reminiscing on all the little moments that brought us together. While taking photos together, Melanie turned around to take photos of her looking off to the Epcot ball. When she turned around she was completely overwhelmed with joy to see Andrew on one knee, and a ring in his hand. Though she struggled through the tears of joy to say her answer, they both knew this was forever a long time ago.
