When should I RSVP by?

What are some directions to the wedding venue?

Answer

Please use Google maps or Maps on Apple products to search and get directions for Pine Haven venue and lodging. There will be signs posted as you get closer to the venue to let you know where to turn. The venue will be on your right hand side.

Will there be parking?

Pine Haven offers plenty of on-site parking!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be both indoors and outdoors. There will be fire pits and games outside on the grass, as well as dancing and food inside.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

We are going for a semi casual vibe with any color you would like except white of course! Keep in mind there will be grass and some gravel, so stilettos may not be the most comfortable.

What is the weather like?

Answer

The weather in South Dakota can be very bipolar so please have options, including a sensible pair of shoes, light jacket, umbrella for rain, things like that.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes of course you can bring a plus one! Just please make sure you list them in your RSVP by August 28th.

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes of course they are allowed! Just please make sure they are listed in your RSVP by August 28 and keep in mind, there will be no on site babysitter. So make sure you are looking after them as there is wild life in the black hills.

What type of food will there be?

Answer

During cocktail hour we will have a variety of cheese, crackers, chips, dips, and other types of finger foods. During dinner we will be having a pasta bar where you can build your own pasta with different types of noodles, two different sauces, chicken, salad and breadsticks as well.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Unfortunately we are not having an open bar, however there will be a fully stocked bar for you to purchase any cocktail or beer that you would like. We will however have free sodas, juices, and waters available!

Can we bring outside liquor to the venue?

Answer

Pine Haven has a strict no outside alcohol rule, and anyone who violates this rule could be subject to a fine and removed from the event. The drink prices are not expensive so please don’t risk it.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home address at 12700 Robinson Rd., Blackhawk, SD 57718. A wedding card box will be at our reception as well.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The doors to the venue will open one hour ahead of our ceremony time at 3 PM. We recommend arriving at the venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to get a drink, find your seats and get ready for the ceremony to start.
