FAQs

Question

Are kids or plus-ones invited?

Answer

Please refer to your RSVP. The events will be primarily adults-only, with a few exceptions, particularly for families traveling from out-of-town. We are SO fortunate to both come from two very big families, but this also means we have limited capacity in one tent! Invitations are for guests specified on your RSVP.

Question

What is the reception attire?

Answer

The attire is semi-formal with breezy comfort and danceability being of the highest priorities. For the men, get out your linen pants and festive button downs, ties and/or jackets are optional. For the ladies, think summer garden party vibes with flowing florals that you can easily dance and frolic around in. We will be out on grass (and dancing the entire night) so flats are encouraged.

Question

Will there be assigned seating for the reception dinner on Saturday?

Answer

Nope! Right after cocktail hour and some toasts, the band will kick into some dancing tunes to get the party started. The dinner buffet will be open through the evening, with no formal sit-down time. And don't worry, the band will announce when food is out, and last calls for dinner and desserts. We'd like everyone to be able to dance, eat, grab drinks, walk along the docks, mingle, and enjoy the river views for a more casual summer evening.

Question

Will there be dinner at Big Ditch on Friday evening?

Answer

There will not be a formal dinner at Big Ditch on Friday. However, they do have a food menu as an option to order. We will be there all evening so we're hoping folks can stop by for a brewski (or two or three) before or after your dinner plans. We suggest making restaurant reservations in advance as it will likely be a bustling summer Friday in downtown Buffalo!
