The wedding festivities will span the weekend from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of February at Mt Vernon Lodge in Akaroa. The ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday the 13th February with a start time to be confirmed. We will be at the Lodge on Friday evening and all are welcome to a casual catch up (BYO food and drinks). Exact timing to be confirmed closer to the day. We have access to the Lodge until midday Sunday so will have a post-wedding fry up Sunday morning. Again, specifics to follow.
Our wedding venue is Mt Vernon Lodge, Akaroa. The address is 33 Purple Peak Road, Akaroa, Banks Peninsula which is about 1.5 hours drive from Christchurch. Please make your own way to the venue.
The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. There is a backup wet weather ceremony option and the reception will be inside regardless. However, as outdoor enthusiasts we also recommend bringing a rain jacket and some good shoes to just enjoy whatever happens!
Yes on Saturday there will be canapés following the ceremony and a sit down dinner and drinks provided.
Semi-formal wedding attire. It is an outdoor ceremony on grass so please bear that in mind when planning an outfit.
No gifts are expected, we've already got the house and the toaster. However, if you’d like to give a gift, a contribution toward our next adventure/honeymoon will be greatly appreciated.
We kindly request an adults only weekend - only because we want you to relax and spend the whole night dancing away with us! Get those babysitters locked in.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed on your invitation.
