Bay View Grand Condo

We will be staying at BVG (10 min from the airport). It is a beautiful property with amazing grounds. Amenities include 3 pools, a gym, a private beach and cabanas on the beach that are first come first served. There is also a snack bar to order food & drinks, but can take your own instead of purchasing from the snack bar. Please look on AirBNB for options by searching Marina Vallarta. Other options on the Marina will pop up but look for BVG properties. Please let us know if you need help, text Liz @ 210-422-6867. If you are unable to find any, let us and we will work with the property manager to secure a condo for you. Rates are: 1 Bedroom $120 per night for 4 people, 2 bedroom $200 per night for 6 people & 3 bedroom $300 per night for 8 people. BVG has 24hr security, you will be given wrist bands to wear on the grounds which will be in your condo. We will be posting other options but highly recommend that you stay here so that we can spend as much time with you as possible!

Velas Vallarta

Velas is an all-inclusive resort where the reception will be held, it’s roughly $300 per night per couple. Great option if you are looking for an all-inclusive option. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of restaurant options within walking distance that are fairly inexpensive with great food.

Ciudadano Marriott

If you are looking for a mainstream option, the Marriot is a good option. Marriott is located right next to Velas where the reception will be held, rates are currently roughly $140 per night. It is also 10 minutes from the airport. It is on the beach with restaurants and bars on site and of course there's a pool!

Please be sure to have your passport handy when booking your flight. The airport code for Puerto Vallarta is PVR. You can also get the Mexico Tourist Card online at mexicotouristcard.com, this will save you some time and headaches at the airport.

Ground Transportation

Once you arrive to Puerto Vallarta there will be taxis that will take you to your hotel for $20 US dollars, if you have pesos it will be $240 pesos. We don’t recommend renting a car, instead make sure to download the Uber app and use Uber while in Mexico. The streets are narrow and driving conditions can be hectic. Uber is very affordable, for a point of reference it is $7 for a 30-minute ride.

Money Exchange Rates

You can use your credit/debit card while in Mexico at most places without incurring international fees but please check with your bank. There will be some places that take cash only, we recommend exchanging your money in Mexico at an ATM because you will get better rates than exchanging in the US. If you decide to wait and exchange in Mexico DO NOT exchange your money at the airport once you arrive. There is an HSBC ATM at the Marina that will give you better rates, you will just incur a fee for not using your bank’s ATM in most cases it will be a $5 fee there is also an ATM at the Marriott. Since most places take cards you will just need some walking around cash
