Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail
Our favorite hike to do as a family! It is all uphill & can be very sunny/hot, but it's a paved, flat, concrete trail. Strollers can be used. Parking is available on first come first serve basis. No restrooms available. We do not recommend straying off the trail path.
Diamond Head State Monument
Reservations required. The hiking trail to the summit is not ADA accessible, it is very steep and uneven in some areas. The last 1/10 of a mile is all stairs and especially steep. Parking available on a first come first serve basis. Restrooms available on the crater level.
Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
Reservations required. More of a snorkeling experience. Paid parking available. Entry fee required.
Mānoa Falls Trail
Family-friendly hike with a small waterfall at the end! Hiking shoes are recommended as it can be muddy. Paid parking available.
