Kawanza, you maybe my eldest sister by default but you are my best friend on purpose. Ever since I was in middle school, you have advised me on the appropriate moves I should make but never tried to control or dictate when I did make a bad decision. You have always reminded me that you would be there for me if I fell, and you have lived up to that standard. If it had not been for you, I would have taken a bad turn in life and I will forever be grateful to you. Thank you for your example of bravery, determination, and power. I couldn't imagine anyone else standing by my side on my dream day.

My twin! All my life I have heard how we resemble each other out of all the Dukes girls and I have worn that with such pride. Thank you for being reliable all of these years. Anytime I was struggling you would always send me extra money to get by and you don't know how much that means to me. I thank you for being an awesome mother to my niece and nephews. From your example, I have learned the importance of being a rock my family. As I prepare for motherhood, I will always remember to do what it takes to provide for my family. I couldn't imagine anyone else standing beside me on my big day.

Kayayetta, you very special to me. As a child, I was always attached to your hip. No matter where you went, to your friend's house to spend the night or work, I was right there with you as if I was your child. I have been in love with how you love people and always striving to help the next person become a better version of themselves. Thank you for always giving me advice, and for pushing me to be the best I can. No task is ever too hard for you to accomplish, and I thank you for reminding me of that during my rough times. I could not imagine anyone worthy of being by my side on my special day.

Trezher, you have been the most consistent and closest relationship with a cousin that I have had. I loved visiting grandma's house during the summer; staying up late, constant laughter, walking to the corner store, and even the petty arguments. We had so much fun just being kids. Now look at us. We are women with families to care for and I am so proud of the accomplishments we have made. During our trip to Barbados, my sisters and I initiated you into the KDDx4 sisterhood and that is exactly what I see you as, my little sister. I am honored to have you stand by my side on my special day.
