We're Getting married!!!

Andrew and Kennedy first crossed paths in elementary school, but it wasn’t until their senior year that they really started talking. Neither of them had a prom date, and Kennedy’s best friend-Tahlia- who was also friends with Andrew—thought they’d be a good match. They went to prom together, thinking it would just be a fun, one-time thing. But, as it often goes, life had other plans. That summer, they spent more time together, and their friendship started turning into something more. On July 19th, 2021, Andrew asked Kennedy to be his girlfriend, and from there, things just clicked. The following fall, they both went off to college—Kennedy at NDSU and Andrew at Mayville State. Andrew decided to pursue plumbing, while Kennedy stayed focused on her studies, set to graduate in May 2025. Through it all, they’ve been there for each other, supporting one another through whatever life has thrown their way. Fast forward to February 8th, 2025—an ordinary day that turned into something unforgettable. The day started with a relaxed breakfast with friends Jonny, Elle, and Bradly followed by a quiet afternoon at Andrew’s place while Kennedy worked on school assignments. Little did Kennedy know, Andrew had a surprise planned. Later that day, they joined Autumn and Jodi to bake cookies for Valentine’s Day. Afterward, the two of them set off on a snowshoeing adventure they’d been looking forward to all week. As they walked toward the hunting blind, Andrew’s dad casually mentioned there were wolf tracks in the snow, which led them down a different path. When they reached the top of a hill, Kennedy spotted a small campfire in the distance. It seemed like nothing special at first, but as they got closer, the path was lined with luminaries and rose petals, leading them toward something unexpected. And there, surrounded by trees, was a collage of photos—almost every picture they’d taken together, showing the memories they’d made. Before Kennedy even had time to process what was happening, she turned around to find Andrew down on one knee, asking her to marry him. With tears in her eyes, she said “Yes!” and they sat there for a while, taking it all in. Their celebration wasn’t over yet. As they made their way back, Kennedy's parents and sister along with Andrews parents and sisters were there to meet them and share in the excitement. And then, as if the day hadn’t already been perfect, Andrew surprised Kennedy with an engagement party with their closest friends and family to celebrate. It was a day full of surprises, love, and memories, marking the start of a new chapter in their story together.
