On November 4th, 2023 we had our first date at an Italian bakery in Greensboro. I knew I liked him because he offered to split desserts. What I didn’t like is he didn’t tell me tiramisu had espresso in it (why would I know that?). We were both up until 2am. But, that didn’t stop us from having our second date 2 days later. Or 4 dates within a week. We quickly learned we loved spending time together and getting to each other. Our lives had a lot of overlap - growing up in Catholic school, having big families, love of travel, involvement in our churches and even being baptized on the same day. It was evident God ordained our steps and we were all about it. We started “dating” a few weeks later. Since then, we have lived a lot of life in a short amount of time. We’ve taken many weekend trips in NC, traveled for weddings and spent time home in Pennsylvania. We’ve collectively spent 5 weeks on international mission. We both signed new job contracts. I hobbled up and down stairs on one leg for 6 weeks while I gained a free (and cute) chauffeur. We completed a discipleship course at our church. But, most importantly, spent a lot of time in prayer together. We are very, very excited to take the next step of marriage and feel so privileged to have friends and family beside us to celebrate and witness our covenant. Thank you all for being influential in our lives!
