This website is your one-stop spot for all the details you’ll need to know, from event schedules to venue information, and a little bit about our love story along the way. It was a chance meeting that turned into fate, and we couldn't be more grateful for that day. Andrew and I met online through a dating App. We had both just gone back to online dating and were the first people for each other to talk to. Andrew reached out first and we started talking for a few days getting to know each other. Andrew then asked Kathryn if she would like to go to a Winery. The winery that Andrew just happened to pick, was one of Kathryn's favorite. Little did Kathryn know that Andrew had resarched all the wineries in equal distance between us. We first crossed paths at Brignole Vineyards in East Granby, CT, and it was one of those moments where time seemed to stop. We will never forget the feeling of seeing each other at the vineyard for the first time. We would both agree it was love at first sight. We then continued our date at Elicit Brewery in Manchester CT. We exchanged numbers and spent the next few weeks meeting up at Elicit to get to know each other better. We were immediately inseparable. Kathryn knew on their third date that Andrew was the one. He was walking up to her and she heard, "That's my husband" pop into her head. Andrew said he too knew early on that Kathryn was his soulmate. Though we didn’t know it at the time, that day was the beginning of an adventure we never expected. We spent hours talking, laughing, and learning about each other, and before we knew it, we were inseparable. What started as a casual day-date turned into something that’s lasted five years. Through all the highs and lows, we’ve grown stronger together. Their is no doubt in either of our minds that we are destined to be together and can face anything that life throws at us. And now we’re ready to celebrate the next chapter of our journey – saying "I do."
Andrew proposed to Kathryn at Cornfield Beach overlooking the most stunning sunset in Old Saybrook, CT. Andrew and Kathryn love the beach and have been to many including in Long Boat Key, Florida where her parents live from January to May. Andrew picked this spot specifically because it is Kathryn's favorite as she grew up going to this beach ever since she was a little girl. It also has so much history as her Mom and her sisters grew up going to the same beach when they were little because Kathryn's great-grandmother had a house there. Andrew planned the whole day with the help of Kathryn's cousin and boyfriend. They went to the beach where her cousin was staying and spent the day on the beach, soaking up the sun, cooling off in the water and enjoying the beautiful end to Summer. They then went back to the Cottage to freshen up and walk down to see the sunset. As this was something they would often do, Kathryn didn't think anything about going to watch the sun set over the water. They moved to the pier and spent some time hugging, holding hands and watching the sunset. As time moved on Andrew became more nervous. He finally hugged Kathryn and then went down on his knee. Kathryn was completely surprised and overjoyed. It was such a special, intimate moment in the best spot. Andrew and Kathryn then spent the evening together celebratin, staying at the Saybrook Point Inn marina, and enjoying the next morning as an engaged couple with mimosas and brunch. They then met Kathryn's family who were coming down for the day and surprised them with the wonderful news.
