South Waterfront Lower Tram Terminal
For just $5 round trip, you can enjoy a 4 minute gondola ride with panoramic views of Portland and the surrounding mountains.
Pittock Mansion
Pittock Mansion is a beautiful estate set atop a hill with a great view of the city. You can drive to the top or hike up through the forest. Walking around the gardens and enjoying the view is free or you can pay to tour inside the mansion.
International Rose Test Garden
A beautiful place to wander for an hour! Highly recommend you don’t miss this free gem. There’s a great playground nearby and the Zoo Railway train stops there.
Oregon Zoo
Ride the Zoo Railway train from the International Rose Test Garden to the Oregon Zoo for just $5. Don’t forget to stop at the carousel!

If you’re staying in Vancouver, check out Wintler Park. Set on the Columbia River right across from PDX. Stroll along the beach or the paved path and enjoy watching the planes come and go with Mt. Hood in the background. A great place to watch the sun rise or set.

The guns are potatoes. I don’t know why they’re called that but they’re fried and drizzled with some sauce and oh so good. This place is in a little courtyard with food trucks all around and tables in the middle. The pizza truck there has some of the best za ever. Lots of great options for a group!
