We met on April Fools Day, 4/1/2016. I was late (of course) by about forty minutes . . . and he was about two drinks in (of course) when I finally showed up. We had never met each other before that day, but I immediately felt like I had known him my whole life. We sat and talked for about five hours, and the rest is history. Fast forward to August 11, 2018 - one of the best weekends of my life. Andrew is always thoughtful and likes to plan fun get-aways, but this weekend seemed particularly important to him. We traveled down to Lewisburg and checked in at the General Lewis Inn, one of my most favorite hotels. (Such charm & character). He had the entire day planned. We first stopped at Mexican, (both our favorites), and then headed out to the Greenbrier River Trail to get some exercise in after eating all those tacos - oops! After the walk, we went back to the hotel to get ready. I started asking his opinion on what I should wear for dinner and he chose the white dress that I brought. (I am still totally oblivious). We get to the Greenbrier a little early for our dinner reservations, and so we decide to grab a drink at the hotel bar. Andrew is now visibly distracted, to the point where I feel like I am on a date with myself (ha!). He asks me to go for a walk with him into the North Parlor room. We walk into the North Parlor and go out onto the balcony and chat for a second. Little do I know, there is a photographer who is setting up in that room as we enter back in. As soon as we enter back into the North Parlor room, Andrew takes my wine glass out of my hand, and begins to get down on one knee. Then, I black out. I remember nothing else. Jk ... well, kinda. He starts saying the most amazing things, but the most amazing, was - "will you marry me?" Now, we are in the midst of planning our fairy tale. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with you all on August 11, 2018. See you then. xo, Andrew & Jessie
