Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CEREMONY?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early to ensure you have enough time to park in the parking garage and make the short walk to the chapel. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.

Question

IS THERE PARKING FOR THE CEREMONY?

Answer

Please reference the map of Duquesne's campus above. Parking for the ceremony is available in the Duquesne University Forbes Avenue parking garage. The street address for the Forbes Garage is 1100 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. There is no fee to park in the garage. Validated parking tickets will be available after the ceremony. There are multiple ways to get to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, but here are two of the fastest ways: When you exit the Forbes Garage, you will come out of the elevator on the 8th floor and walk straight across the walkway towards the flag pole. When you reach the flag pole, you will turn right on Locust St. As you continue down Locust St, you should see the Duquesne Union and Law School on your left with the Library being on your right. There is a path between the Duquesne Union and Law School that you can take that will take you to Academic Walk. Once, you make it to the red brick road, turn right and walk all the way down Academic Walk towards the fountain. As you continue down Academic Walk, you will see the chapel past the fountain. Or once you exit the elevator in the Forbes garage, continue to Locust St and once you reach the flagpole from the parking garage. The library will be on your right and the law school on your left. When you reach McAnulty Dr, turn left up the hill and you will see the chapel on your right. Both routes should take you about 5-10 minutes.

Question

IS THERE PARKING FOR THE RECEPTION?

Answer

Parking for the reception is available at the Renaissance Hotel via valet for overnight guests ($41/night) or self-park in the Ft. Duquesne & Sixth Garage across the street for $14/day.

Question

WHAT DOES FORMAL ATTIRE MEAN?

Answer

Formal wedding attire sits between cocktail and black tie on the wedding dress code scale. It's slightly more elevated than cocktail attire and a touch less dressy than a black-tie nuptial.

Question

Answer

While we love your children dearly, this will be an adult-only event. This way, it will give family and friends with small children an excuse to get a sitter and enjoy a night out as a couple.

Question

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE IN PITTSBURGH?

Answer

The temperatures in Pittsburgh in October are a mystery, with lows in the 20°s and highs in the 70°s. Don't worry, all of our wedding events will be held indoors with air conditioning or heat. Also, the Ferketic's and Babinksi's are known for having terrible luck with weather when hosting events, so please be prepared to bring an umbrella.
