Things to Note

Our budget recommendation is to book accommodations (hotel or Airbnb) near YVR Airport as that is in between both wedding venues (Surrey and UBC), and less expensive than booking downtown Vancouver. However, if you're visiting Vancouver for the first time and want the full experience, there are still many hotels and Airbnb options within/around the downtown Vancouver core! We also recommend booking a rental car as public transit is limited from Vancouver to Surrey. Airbnb is generally a better choice in terms of renting a house that can accommodate multiple families/guests at a better rate, and there are Airbnb's available near the airport. The Canada Line is a train/subway that runs to and from YVR airport into downtown Vancouver, which is a great option of getting into Vancouver, instead of Taxi/Uber.
