Maid of Honor
Madeleine is not only my only big sister but my role model, my best friend, my MOH and the one I look up to the most. Madeleine is the most generous and thoughtful person and would do anything to make her friends and family happy. I can’t help but reminisce on our birthday parties as kids and our pretend toilet paper weddings we used to have. I also remember feeling so cool when she included me with the older kids and invited me to the “homie hangout”. From being big Souza and baby Souza playing high school soccer, we were always the best duo. There isn’t anyone else that I would want to be closest to my side as I enter the next chapter of my life.
Best Man
Lucky to claim the coveted “favorite brother” title, Matt is also my best man. Growing up, Matt set the bar high (unfortunately, too high in stature) -- but he has been unceasing in his wisdom, his support and dissemination of important life lessons. To put it simply, he is the kind of guy who I can always count on. Matt is someone who can speak on any subject – sports, business, weather, pre-shrunken cotton attire; a guy who can be anything with ease and always succeed. So, as Matt has always been looking over me through the years as any big brother should (this is the last height joke), I am honored to have him standing with me as I take this next big step.

Abigail aka Gail is my coffee, fashion, wellness, foodie and soccer loving twin (go pack). She never fails to make us laugh with her incredible dance moves and fun spirit. I know she will always be down for a southern CA road-trip, 5 coffees a day, $18 erewhon smoothies ,shopping till we drop and tanning all day long. I’m so happy to have my gail girl and almost fellow UNR alumni by my side. All hail queen Gail!!

Willie and I met our freshman year of college when we lived in the same dorm. A chance encounter, our friendship spawned after we discovered we were fans of the same soccer team (Go Blues!). What he lacks in height, he more than compensates for with his unforgettable personality and fun-spirited humor. For what seems like forever, Willie has been by my side -- from traveling across the world to watching sports, attending concerts and even standing in a four hour-long line in torrential rain for a special-release beer. A friend, a roommate, and dare I say... a Salvadorian brother? Absolutely.

Caroline, Caca, Little C and the ultimate baby Souza. Caroline is the coolest and most creative of us all. She is my social media manager and my traveling partner. From the world cup in Paris, walking down the alleyways of Spain, eating pizza in amalfi, Caroline is my travel partner in crime. Looking forward to where we travel to next and knowing you will always be down for a good time. I love you baby sister and am so happy you are by my side in this next chapter of my life.

I am excited to have John as a brother-in-law. Since the time that I met John, he has continuously been an upstanding guy who is easily relatable. He is a conspicuously smart individual who is also a great athlete (especially in basketball). I look forward to spending more time with him in the future. I am grateful that John will be with me on this special day.

Live, laugh, love… ray. My new sister!! In the past 6 years ray has become one of my bestest friends and sister. Traveling across the world together, wine tasting, summer concerts and shopping are just a few things we love doing together. Something I love about Ray is that I know whenever we go shopping together she will always say yes and tell me to get it without hesitation. Whenever I’m with ray it’s always a good quality girl time. I’m so blessed to have another sister!

Any guy that loves a crisp beer, college football and English soccer is going to be a good friend of mine. Tyler has been one of my closest friends since childhood and is a compassionate and loyal guy. He is someone more akin to a brother than a friend given our similarities. We have shared adventures, inside jokes and sports heartbreak far too many times to count. Although he lives in Tennessee, the distance has not affected our bond, and fortunately, it gives me a good reason to visit Nashville. On this big day, I am very appreciative to have such a man by my side.

My college roommate, teammate and bestest friend. Britt and I met when she transferred to Nevada, but I was actually friends with her older sister first. After Bry introduced us, the rest was history. We bonded over the bachelor, shopping and tiny hands. I will always remember studying “abroad” with Britt during the pandemic. Driving across the west coast taking exams and zoom calls in the car and almost getting trapped in Canada when the border was closing. These are just a few of many many college memories with Britt! I’m so lucky to have a friendship like ours and can’t wait to have her by my side on this special day.

If there was ever a friend from day one, Nick is him. I have known Nick since elementary school, and we have been close ever since. Family camping trips, visiting Caffeine Cuisine more days than not and talking about our competitive soccer experiences are just some of the many funny stories that come to mind when I think of our friendship. He is a guy filled with both bravado and coolness and is someone who is always up for a good time. I know that whenever and wherever we meet, Nick and I will be laughing and living it up just like old times. I know that a man of this quality will always be with me when it matters.

My aesthetic twin tay tay! I’m so lucky she transferred to UNR and we met and become friends my last 2 years. I will never forget our first hang out with the girls (and Andrew) we hiked desolation wilderness in Tahoe and got lost. 8 miles turned into 17 and Andrew eventually lead us back to civilization (still 15 miles from our car). I thought she would never hang out with us again after that day….but here we are. Taylor is the coolest & sweetest gal and I’m so happy she will be by my side.

Josh and I have been exceptional friends since middle school. In addition to being the nicest guy I know, he is a man of integrity which makes him an obvious choice to be one of my groomsmen. Josh has always been a dependable person and is someone to turn to when solid advice is needed. A true gentleman, and someone who loves history as much as I do, he will stand beside me as he has done for the entirety of our friendship. I cannot ask for a more virtuous individual for this occasion.

I met Mads in college when she came in early to play soccer and we instantly clicked. Madison Taylor is a gal that will make you laugh until your stomach physically hurts. When Maddie is around you know it’s going to be a time full of laughter and fun. Most importantly Maddie is the most giving and thoughtful person I have ever met. She loves her friends dearly and is a friend you can always count on. She also does REALLY really good speeches. I can’t wait to have her by my side as I enter a new chapter in my life.

Cole stands with me today for the special reason of being the guy who has always popped up in my life for the better. We first met while playing for the same soccer team and then reconnected in high school when we took differential calculus together. As fate would have it, Cole would become my roommate in college and then a constant friend who lived just down the street from me in Reno. A teammate, a classmate, a roommate and now, most importantly, a reliable friend who really has been there in so many different phases of my life. I concede now that Cole is destined to be a lifelong friend. I am elated that he will be with me for yet another big moment.

My childhood bestie, carpool buddy, hotel roomie and Hannah Montana/Justin Bieber loving bff. What I remember fondly of Morgan and I’s childhood friendship was her always having the better snack bag at tournaments and me being so envious. Morgan and I rocked out to Hannah Montana the party remix CD to every soccer practice/game, fought like sisters, and made up like sisters. This girl is my longest lasting friendship and am so grateful to have her in my life for 15 plus years and to have her by my side as I enter this new chapter.

I am extremely lucky to have Tyler as my brother-in-law. This guy is an absolute character, both in humor and in class. I know him as a guy who can strike up a conversation with any person and connect with them on any level. I also know him as a great father. We happen to share many of the same hobbies which include playing and watching sports, hiking and exploring, and delivering ill-timed sarcastic jokes. I know that he is equally as lucky to have me join the family!
