Travel To and From the Airport
We'll be staying in the town of Esterillos Este, Costa Rica, just a scenic 2-hour and 15-minute drive away from the SJO airport. We have a variety of transportation options for you to choose from. Option 1: The Van provided by the Villas- The Villa’s complimentary shuttle service is the most economical choice, as it comes at no extra cost. However, it is exclusively accessible to guests staying at the Villas. Please note that the shuttle operates with one pick-up and drop-off schedule per day at the airport. To ensure a smooth transfer, we kindly request flight details from guests in advance. This allows us to coordinate all guests’ transportation, minimizing any wait times at the airport. Option 2: The Taxi Service- If you're eager to start exploring immediately after going through customs, you have the option to arrange for a taxi service that can take you to the villas or wherever you desire. The cost for this convenience is $80 per trip, and each taxi comfortably accommodates up to four passengers. Should you opt for this, I'm more than happy to arrange it for you ahead of time with the wedding coordinator. Option 3: Renting a Car- If you would like the convenience of having your own transportation, renting a car is a convenient option. Prices for car rentals typically vary from $50 to $100 or more per day, depending on the vehicle and additional fees. We would love to invite our family and friends to stay with us at the beautiful Pura Vida Casa Villas. Located next to a lush forest, the three villas have 12 bedrooms total, pools, and tons of hangout space. Contact us for rates and availability as space is limited. If the Villa’s reach capacity, or if you simply prefer the comfort of a hotel, Alma del Pacífico Beachfront Hotel presents an excellent alternative, conveniently located just 10 minutes away. It offers a delightful escape with all the amenities you might desire. However, please keep in mind that if you opt to stay off-site, arranging transportation to the Villa for wedding events will be necessary.
