Our story begins way before Andrew and I meeting because my freshman year of college I roomed with Andrew’s, now sister-in-law, Cammy Young. Junior year of college, Cammy fell in love with Adam Young, Andrews older brother. Cammy would tell stories about Adam's younger brother, but I always pictured him as a 16-year-old, so I never asked further about him. Flash forward to fall of last year, Andrew and I were both in Adam and Cammy’s wedding. The Youngs encouraged Andrew to talk to me at the wedding which he did. Andrew quickly caught my eye, but I did not think anything of it, until after the wedding, my friend Paige told me that they were trying to set us up! On my way home, I knew I wanted to wait for someone like him and a family like his. Little did I know what was coming. Two months later, on November 12th, I was sitting at the table with my sisters and my mom who brought Andrew back up. Abby said I could not leave the table until I texted Cammy about Andrew. That night, he reached out to me, and that is when it all began. Our relationship quickly grew because of our 5-hour Facetime calls which sparked a deep connection through our many shared values and life experiences. It felt like we had known each other forever! After a couple weeks of connecting, Andrew asked if he could fly to visit me! I was so excited and so nervous! Staying true to his word, he flew out to Cincinnati on December 18th and spent the weekend with me and my family. This was a weekend to remember! It was during this visit that he asked if I would be his girlfriend. Soon after, I visited his family in Maryland, and I immediately felt at home. Then, by God’s grace, Andrew decided to further our relationship by making the big move to Cincinnati. His intentionality since the beginning, and his desire to move to be near me spoke volumes. After experiencing his heart for the Lord and his pursuit of my heart, I had no doubt he was the one, and I was ready to say yes! On September 28th Andrew got down on one knee and asked if I would be his forever! Andrew and I are in constant awe of the Lord’s hidden hand in bringing the two of us together, and we are eager to see all that the Lord has planned in the many years to come! We look forward to celebrating the Lord's goodness to us with you on June 8th!
