True, it will likely be cold, but the following day, January 26th 2026 will be our 10 year dating anniversary, so we wanted to get it in right under the wire. "Right on time" is a bit of a theme...
No, we're not especially German (that we're aware of), but the neighborhood that we've built our lives together in is (Lincoln Square) and it's a pretty venue on the inside.
Another reason that this venue is pretty amazing is there's free parking available to our guests in the 5/3 Bank parking lots at 4800 N. Western Ave., which is right around the corner from the venue. The venue does have express permission for guests to park there, so your car won't get towed.
Whatever would make you feel great and allows you to boogie on the dance floor! There will be coat racks, so wear your warm winter coat and don't worry about what you'll do with it. Please know that our wedding & reception will not be an especially formal affair. This is mostly a chance for us to celebrate our love & and throw an awesome party for our family & friends. For example, the bride will NOT be wearing white. She looks better in deeper colors and she wants to feel pretty and be comfortable.
There is an elevator on the ground floor that we recommend everyone uses, as our event space is on the top floor. Bathrooms are on the same level as our event and will be for our guests only.
We are planning for our wedding & reception to be a mostly child-free affair. We're also reasonable people and want our guests to be able to attend, so if you're unable to attend without your child, please reach out to Danielle and/or Andy.
While Danielle promises not to be offended if this is assumed, she does plan on keeping her name as Danielle Hanrahan. 43 years of having the same name makes it feel like a part of your identity and Andy Pulliam loves Danielle Hanrahan just as she is. We do like to joke that together, we're pretty DANDY (Danielle + Andy = Dandy). So don't be surprised if you see that referenced during our event.
We do not have a registry, no. We're very much past the just-starting-out-in-life phase, and we live in a juuuuuust big enough apartment in the city and we have all the stuff we want. We do love to travel and haven't gotten to do as much as we'd like. Those kinds of experiences are really the only things left on our "want" list. And as always, cash is king. But if you can't afford a gift, that's ok too. We're happy with your love and good wishes for the future.
