Believe it or not, Craigslist. Totally kidding. We met on the deck of a friend's house and thought absolutely nothing of it. I was the new girl in town just trying to make a friend or two. Andrew thought he met a cool girl he'd never see again. But... some Young Life connections, countless Loyal Coffee hangouts, a global pandemic, and one kiss at the park later - we started dating.

Here's the deal folks. This is how I asked Dani to marry me. I surprised her by taking her to her favorite mountain town, Buena Vista. With her hand in mine, we could of passed as a hallmark movie couple, no doubt about it. We explored a few of her absolute favorite places such as Eddyline brewery and Midland Coffee. We had a delectable lunch at Subway because what screams romance other than $5 footlongs? We then sat in my Subaru since it was pretty windy and listened to some music while I was waiting for the photographer to show up as well as taking a nervous pee every 6 to 7 minutes. Once the photographer arrived, I asked Dani to hike up with me on this little trail to "take a cool picture" with Mt. Princeton in the background. We then embarked on our 5 minute hike and once we arrived to my designate proposal position, my hands were sweaty, knees weak, and something about spaghetti. I didn't prepare a speech or a song to sing, rather I grabbed her sweet and fragile hands and remember saying "ok, I'm just going to wing this..." and then I blacked out for the next 5 minutes. Somewhere in there I asked her to marry me on June 19th of 2021 and well ladies and gentleman, that's exactly the way it was. She said, "I'll pray about it". And took the next few days to pray on if this was a wise decision to say yes or no... YEAH. NO. She said YES! We then proceeded towards a celebratory smooch afterwards and she jumped into my arms.
