We planned to have dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in Culver City, but the place was packed, so I left my phone number and we went to grab a drink at a bar nearby. We talked about music, sports, trips, and food, and we discovered that we both love In-N-Out. The restaurant never called and we were getting very hungry. Andrew said we should probably go somewhere else for dinner and asked me if I was craving anything in particular. I said: In-N-Out! The rest is history :)
Coincidentally, Andrew's brother Daniel moved out of their apartment since he was relocating for his PhD at the same time in which my lease was ending. At first we saw this just as a temporary solution until I found another place, but living together was working out so well, that we decided to make it official! We really love spending time at home, watching movies, cooking together, and playing with Indy, our cat. We adopted Indiana Jane (yes, we love Indiana Jones) on September 15th, 2024, and since that day, she fills the apartment with laughter, cuddles, and cat hair. Andrew travels a lot for work, so Indy keeps me company when he's away. We're loving being cat parents!
Though we had talked about getting married, I was convinced Andrew wouldn't propose at Disneyland because he did not seem nervous or sneaky the days before our trip - pretty solid evidence according to me. Nonetheless, I got my nails done in case he popped the question! Once we were there, again, he didn't seem nervous at all! As the day went by, I was more and more convinced that it wouldn't happen and actually started feeling a bit dissapointed. Andrew said we should take photos at the castle, which was a bit weird (he's not a big on photos), but again, I didn't think much of it because I did not expect him to propose in front of everyone! Little did I know that's exactly what he was planning to do! He got on one knee. We kissed. I said yes. Everyone clapped and cheered. It was magical.
