Space is extremely limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Should there be no more availability at Ojai Rancho Inn, there are additional recommendations of where to stay in the 'travel' section. Santa Barbara airport is about 45 minutes away from Ojai, and Los Angeles is about an hour and a half drive. Ojai is about a 5 hour drive from Palo Alto, and a 2 hour drive from Orange County.
We’re keeping our celebration intimate and adults-only. We kindly ask that only guests named on their invitation join us, as we’re unable to accommodate additional guests. Children are welcome to join us for the pool party on Saturday.
California formal. Guests are invited to wear formal attire with a relaxed California sensibility - long dresses for women, and suits or tuxes for men. Jackets are encouraged, ties optional. Please avoid overly casual styles. Keep in mind the ceremony is outdoors on the grass.
Transportation will be provided from and from Ojai Rancho Inn to the ceremony location and onward to Rory’s place. All guests are asked to arrive at Ojai Rancho Inn promptly at the designated pickup time, as parking will not be available at the ceremony location. We’ll share the exact pickup time closer to the event, but please plan for a window between 3:00–3:15 PM.
As the wedding will take place on Friday afternoon, we recommend arriving in Ojai Thursday evening or Friday morning. On Saturday we'll be taking over Ojai Rancho Inn, where we have a hotel buyout, and having a casual pool party.
We kindly ask that our ceremony be unplugged. Please refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony and be fully present with us, our photographer will capture everything.
No - there is no parking available at the ceremony location. Please plan to use the provided transportation, which will leave from Ojai Rancho Inn.
The ceremony will be held outdoors, and dinner will be partially indoors and partially outdoors.
September in Ojai is typically warm and sunny. Daytime temperatures often range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, with cooler evenings in the 50s and 60s.
Dinner and the reception will take place at our favorite restaurant in Ojai, featuring passed appetizers, drinks, and a family-style dinner party lasting until 10pm. There will be no formal dancing—just great food, conversation, and time together.
