We met at a high school soccer game where Cinthya had gone to support a friend, and Andrew obviously played. Is what we told our families to cover the truth that we met online but was quickly uncovered because someone (Andrew) is not good at lying. Weeks before the pandemic we got to texting and Facetiming quickly forming a strong connection. But due to quarantine and distance, we had not physically met in person until Tia Eli and Tio Junior's wedding after four months of dating. We spent that summer constantly on Facetime day and night and playing online games like Minecraft (where we shared our first "I love you."), Call of Duty Mobile, imessage games and watching shows together by pressing play at the same time. Unfortunately Cinthya was one of those people who was mentally affected by quarantine and fell into a deep depression. But Andrew stayed by her side the entire time. It was a rough three years trying to navigate a mental illness and maintain a healthy relationship. But we took it day by day and managed to overcome it eventually. We gradually went back to normality and continued to strengthen our relationship. We had both grown a lot and have became better versions of ourselves together. So on the following leap year, exactly four years after we met, Andrew took us to Muir Woods where he officially proposed surrounded by beautiful redwood trees. It has been a long journey so we are more and more excited as every day passes getting closer to our wedding day.
