How we met

When children grow up we sometimes forget about fairytales. Life may not be an exact fairytale but us meeting and falling in love was a special kind of fairytale. Some of you may know that we met online. christine was in the process of deleting the app when a message came through. The message of course was from Andrew. The message was ordinary but something felt different. Something was telling Christine to give it a chance. Christine sent Andrew a message back saying she was deleting the app and gave him her number ( which she never does). Andrew texted Christine right away and it all started. They finally had the courage to meet after a few weeks of talking. They met for the first time at Willow Grove mall right next to the carousel. Andrew thought Christine was goth because he still swears to this day she had on all black clothing when it was in fact a dark blue hoodie (which Christine found out two years later). The two talked everyday. At night andrew would call Christine and stay on the phone until She fell asleep. This is just the beginning of the love story between us. “Its about the journey not the destination.” I can not wait for our journey to continue and I am excited about all of the memories to be made.

The proposal

We planned a weekend trip to the shore as an ending to summer vacation. We had a whole weekend planned full of fun and relaxation. We went crabbing and fishing when we first arrived to the shore. After that we were supposed to go to the beach for a relaxing night but it started to rain so we went on the boardwalk instead. Saturday August 24, 2019 the day started with us going to wildwood beach. It was very windy and sand was getting everywhere. Christine asked Andrew if we could go to the pool instead and he agreed. While we were at the pool Andrew started to act weird. He told Christine we had to leave by a specific time so we could get dinner at the lobster house and get to sunset beach early. We had tried to go to sunset beach all summer but never made it. Christine was becoming frustrated because the sun was not to set for a few more hours and Andrew was persistant with his times. They had a very nice dinner and then headed to sunset beach in Cape May. Andrew swore he wanted to get there early to go in the shops but once we arrived he said he wanted to go for a walk on the beach first. Andrew took Christine by the hand and they started a short walk down the beach. Andrew turned to Christine and grabbed both of her hands and she could feel him shaking. He looked her in the eyes and said “you know how much i love you right?” Christine’s heart started racing because she was staring to put it all together. Christine squeezed Andrew’s hand and said no stop while pulling away. Andrew pulled her closer and told her how much he loved her and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. As he got down on one knee with a ring in his hand he asked her to marry him. With tears in her eyes Christine said yes! Sounds amazing right?! After he stood up Andrew pointed to a photographer who captured the moment. The reason behind why Andrew had timed everything was because he had planned the perfect dream proposal that Christine had always dreamed of.
