Answer

Do U.S. passport holders need a visa for Lebanon? No. U.S. passport holders receive a free visa on arrival at Beirut International Airport, with nothing required in advance of arrival. How long must my passport be valid? Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of entry. What documents are needed on arrival? A valid passport, a return or onward ticket, and a hotel address. The process is generally smooth. Is there a visa on arrival fee? No, it is issued free of charge for U.S. citizens. Which airport should we fly into? Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY). Are there direct flights from the U.S.? No nonstop flights. Most guests connect through Paris, Frankfurt, London, Istanbul, Dubai or Qatar. Should we book flights early? Yes. August is peak travel season, especially for the Lebanese diaspora. We kindly recommend booking your flights as soon as possible, as fares are expected to begin rising in February and increase more rapidly after March. To fully enjoy the Lebanese wedding experience, we suggest arriving on July 30 or July 31; however, guests arriving later due to personal schedules will still have a wonderful experience.
