My Storm Cloud. Where did that name come from? Well, she loves Storm from X-Men, and I added the "Cloud" part, thinking she'd hate it. She didn't. As a matter of fact, she loved it because no one else had ever called her that. She is my person, my best friend, my lover, and my soon-to-be wife. What if I told you that her mother was friends with my dad before either one of us were even dreamed of? I like the thought of that. Did I mention she is a world-renowned wedding and event planner? She is (and yes, our wedding planner, too)!

We went to church together. We were in Jack & Jill together. Anything mischievous, miserable, and/or memorable during my formative, teenage years was experienced with this man by my side. We've also experienced each other's milestones together, which I will always be grateful for. Whether it has been an engagement, wedding, the births of children, loss, or holidays, we've been there for each other through it all. Best friends for 28+ years and counting.

Would you believe me if I told you that he used to give me dirty looks the summer of our freshman year at UT? We were roommates for two years (once he realized I was a cool cat) and friends for a lifetime. We've gotten to travel all over the country with our beloved Longhorns, even though they've broken our hearts on all of those trips. I cherish all the memories we've made thus far and value him as one of my best friends forever.

I always dreamed of our dad officiating my wedding, but since he's gone on to heaven, the good Lord allowed my brother to step in.
