In 2018, Andrew decided to take a chance and meet new people by adding countless strangers through SnapChat's 'quick add' menu. Among the many, one stood out with a beautiful name and a sunflower—Cassie Jo. Over the next few months, Andrew would often reach out to her in the most random way, usually by typing her name in bold letters. "CASSIEEEEE!!" While this wasn't the traditional method of courting, Cassie Jo, curious and intrigued, responded each time. Their conversations might have seemed mundane to an outsider, but to them, they were laying the groundwork for a future neither of them anticipated. After months of this unusual approach, Andrew finally mustered the courage to ask Cassie Jo out on a date. His formal invitation was, "Would you do me the honor of joining me for breakfast?" He had no idea that Cassie Jo wasn’t even fond of breakfast foods. Nevertheless, she gleefully agreed in what felt like hours to Andrew but was only a matter of minutes. Their first date was at the Dream Cafe in Grand Junction. Cassie Jo talked endlessly, while Andrew, nervous and shy, barely managed to nod and respond when necessary. Cassie Jo did most of the talking, easily six times more than Andrew. Despite his quiet demeanor, something about their interaction made Cassie Jo think, "Oh yeah, we need a second date." And she did agree to a second date, and then a third. The first "I love you" was uttered, they moved into their first home, and their dreams began to come true. One day, the most important question was asked: "Will you marry me?" And the answer was a resounding "Yes."
