We were 15. Neither of us were well versed in the art of dating. By that, I mean neither of us had ever had a "special friend" before. We instantly became best friends when we met. We always wanted to spend time together. It was practically love at first sight. We pretty much always knew we were each others forever. Fast forward 5.5 years and the same excitement of getting to hang out, spend time together, and grow together, lives. He knew I loved Mt.Dora. He knew I loved Christmas. He knew I wanted my sister in town. He knew I liked adventure and surprise! So he strung all those things together into one night... or so he tried. After asking my father for my hand, Drew planned a beautiful evening in Mt. Dora where he would propose at sundown on the pier after a nice dinner. However, what wasn't expected was our sisters arriving early, so we didn't get to do a nice dinner. The fact that the christmas lights started the next day, and that he didn't really know where the pier was (we found it eventually). It might have taken a few hours and several odd plan-changing-excuses. But eventually, he knelt down on one knee and asked me a question that would change our lives forever. I SAID YES!
