From starting off as friends of friends, to cautiously dating as we figured out if one loves pizza as much as the other (spoiler: yes, total obsession), to two new cities, new jobs, international travels, and a 100 lb. Rottweiler together, our next adventure is one we are so thrilled to share in with all of you- marriage! Carly should have seen it coming by the rare complete silence from Andrew on the ascent to the peak of the trail, or maybe the persistent urgency to do this sunrise hike even though it was raining, or maybe the fact that he was wearing jeans on a 5 am hike, or that her nails were conveniently painted for the first time in months, but she managed to miss those queues because she was relishing in the normality of another sunrise adventure with her best friend. A common thread through the relationship: not quite knowing where we’re going but just enjoying going there together. Taken by complete surprise, with the mountain to ourselves (and the handy photographer pretending to take pictures of trees), Andrew (blacked out) and asked Carly the best question she'll ever have the honor of hearing from him. Quite literally as soon as he asked, the rain stopped- as if we got the nod from nature itself. We can't wait to make it official with the help of our family and friends and look forward to seeing you all on the dance floor.
