Caitlyn and Drew met on a rainy fall night at a local burger restaurant. While they initially connected online, they soon found out that they had several mutual friends and had a lot in common. They both knew that they may have found their person when three hours had passed and the restaurant staff were giving them dirty looks. From there, their relationship continued to blossom with new adventures abound. They discovered the joy of hikes and being outdoors, cooking nice dinners, and doing just about anything new together. Caitlyn even started eating vegetables, even the green ones. To this day her friends and family are impressed that Drew convinced her that vegetables can be good too. Drew finally said “I love you” after Caitlyn came over for a movie night. He admitted that he had been ready to say it for several days, but couldn’t find the courage to do so. She said the same thing. The story continued with adventures to places like New Orleans, Seattle, and Disney World. Their shared passion for travel made for some of the best vacations of their lives and they have many more planned for the future! Eventually they ended up in one location, settling down in Raleigh as spouses to be. When Drew decided that the time was right to propose, he didn’t have much of a plan. Roping in some of Caitlyn’s closest friends, he arranged for a hike with friends at one of their favorite trails at Eno River State Park. Caitlyn was beyond surprised when Drew got down on one knee and happily said YES! They then celebrated with a week in Los Cabos and are now eagerly awaiting their special day on April 23, 2022!
