Brynn: Andrew and I both went to Bob Jones University, ran in the same circles, and somehow never officially met. We knew of each other, but life kept us missing each other by just a little. Looking back, it’s wild how close we were without ever crossing paths. Andrew: Same school, same friends, same places, yet somehow never the right timing. I knew who Brynn was, but our paths just never lined up… until they finally did. Brynn: Years later, we ended up sitting next to each other at church, because we were both late. I had just gotten off work, was exhausted, and honestly pretty sick. I kept hoping we’d make eye contact, but it never happened. Andrew: I recognized her immediately and even pulled up her social media to confirm it was really her. She looked emotional during the service, and I thought she was moved by the message. Brynn: Turns out… I just had a runny nose and I couldn't get it to stop! Andrew: Church ended, we went our separate ways, and I assumed that was it. Brynn: A few weeks later, without either of us knowing ahead of time, we both ended up on the same beach trip. When everyone piled into the SUV headed to Charleston, I saw him again, and this time we were officially introduced. Andrew: Seeing her again felt different. On the drive home, I was in the drivers seat and she claimed the front seat...shotgun, obviously. Brynn: Passenger princess forever. We talked the entire drive home. It felt easy, natural, and familiar, like I had known him longer than just that day. Andrew: I realized how easy it was to talk to her and how much we had in common. Brynn: After the trip, we started texting and spending more time together. What began as a friendship slowly turned into something deeper as we walked through big life moments side by side. Andrew: There was a stretch where we barely talked, and that’s when it hit me...I couldn’t do that again. I needed her in my life. Brynn: On February 28th, Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend and told me he loved me for the first time. Andrew: She cried immediately. Brynn: I did. And of course, I said yes. We celebrated all night with some friends. Andrew: After months of intentional conversations, I asked her dad for permission to marry her and started planning the proposal. The plan? A snowboarding trip during my birthday week to throw her off. Brynn: I had a feeling something might happen, but after a full day on the slopes and no proposal in sight, I gave up hope. I even told my sister, “I guess I won’t be getting a ring today.” Andrew: Timing was tight, nerves were high, and the proposal almost didn’t happen exactly as planned. We convinced Brielle and Connor (first time snowboarders) to come up to the summit of the mountain for a final run and ultimately made connor eat snow all the way down to get to the country club and get to "the spot." Brynn: But then we arrived at the country club, snow started falling, and everything changed. Andrew: Dropping to one knee and asking Brynn to be my wife was the best moment of my life, time stood still and my mind went blank...all I could see was her. Brynn: Saying yes was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. Both: And now, we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
