Ashlyn and Andrew first met at church circa 2017. He became friends with Ashlyn's mom, Lara, first, but quickly became a part of the family. Fast forward several years to Ashlyn's brother, Carter's high school graduation. Andrew came over early to help with the decorating. He and Ashlyn built a balloon Tiger paw together, and she felt chemistry beyond their well-established friendship. At the end of the night, she made the first move with the help of some liquid courage (shoutout Tito's). They went on their first date a few weeks later (where Ashlyn whooped him at axe throwing) and the rest is history! They were long-distance for a year while she finished college, before she ultimately moved home to South Carolina. The proposal couldn't have been more perfect. Andrew proposed at Walt Disney World on a pontoon boat, watching the fireworks. Ashlyn had known about the fireworks cruise, but had no idea about the ring. As the show built up to the finale, Andrew got down on his knee, and Ashlyn hyperventilated before saying yes.
