Best Man
My name is Jonathan and I am proud to say that I am Andrew's Best Man. It feels like I've known Andrew my whole life. When we were little we were always playing together; whether it was with our neighborhood friends, playing soccer on the same team, or going to the same Sunday School class. As we got older, we found ourselves working at the same places: Chick-fil-A, various grocery stores, and eventually, attending Liberty and being on the same hall. There's no one I'd rather call a friend and brother, and I'm extremely honored to partake in this special day with him and Ansie.
Maid of Honor
I know Ansie because we share the same mom, dad, cat & childhood home.

My name is Luke MacDonald, and while I love both Ansie and Andrew, I had the privlege of being roommates and ministry partners with Andrew over the course of the 2020-2021 school year at Liberty University. We had the opportunity to bond over late nights, questionable leadership decisions, and perseverance in the face of adversity. In this season I got a front row seat to Andrew's practical, Gospel-driven mindset (as well as the inception of his relationship with Ansie). I am blessed to call Andrew one of my best friends and I can't wait to celebrate with him and Ansie as they begin the next chapter of their lives together.

November 4, 2021, It was Andrew’s idea to make a group chat with me, him, Sarah, and Ansie. But officially, I met Ansie the day Andrew brought her and a few other friends to our house in the spring of 2022. Ansie was sweet and loving, so much fun and really had a heart for the Lord. At the time, Andrew would tell us that she was a friend but he would have long conversations with my parents about her and their relationship. Fast forward to 7-8 months later, I find out that Andrew had asked Ansie out on a date. After a few months of getting to know Ansie more and seeing my brother with her, I knew this was it. She’s the one for him. I’m so happy that the Lord put Ansie in Andrew’s life and I’m so thankful for the life that they are going to have together. Love you both

I met Andrew in 2020 shortly before quarantining together, where we started a board game that has yet to be finished. We went on to live on the same hall for 2 incredible years at Liberty. Now I live in Lynchburg and work as an engineer. Andrew and I share a love of outdoors, hiking, and Chick-fil-A.

I met Ans in highschool and somehow it felt like I’d known her since we were in diapers. We became inseparable in our “cult”… Long Lost Sisters… Caroline, Ans, Keila and I. The way her face lights up when talking about Andrew, even before dating, we knew they had something to give a chance on. Cannot wait to celebrate the day on June 18th, 2023.

I have known Andrew as far back as my sophomore year. He and I were CGLs on the Hill, hall 22-2. I got to know him well throughout our time in ministry on that hall and furthermore, the next year when I was still a CGL, and he was an RS. He led with integrity and with a heart that yearned to exalt the Lord well. We have also, throughout our time together, gone on some wild adventures across the nation. One could argue that I brought Ansie and Andrew together as I brought them together in our friend group. ;)

I am Ansie's first cousin on her mom's side. Ansie is more like my sister/ best friend, more than my cousin. I am so thankful she choose me to be apart of her wedding. I am so excited to celebrate the love between Andrew and Ansie!

I'm an accountant in the VA Beach area, and Andrew and I were friends as young kids before his family moved. I am so thankful I got to reconnect with Andrew when he moved to the Virginia Beach area in the summer of 2021 for seminary. I've especially enjoyed hearing what God has been teaching him through seminary and our church, and seeing him pursue Ansie with dedication during their long distance relationship!

I met the wonderful Ans when she and her sister, Caroline, walked up to my sister, Nicole, and me to invite us for a game of “signs” at a homeschool conference in 2017. I had been dreading this conference, assuming I would die of boredom; little did I know I’d meet a “long lost sister!” Ansie and Caroline automatically clicked with my sister and me… creating a force to be reckoned with. The endless adventures, heartfelt memories, and excited high-pitched screams that followed that weekend are only the tip of the iceberg to Ansie’s beautiful heart. I am overjoyed and honored to be able to celebrate with her this new step in life with Andrew!

Hello, my name is Trevor Hays, I love the Godden family, and I was privileged to have Andrew as my RS first year at Liberty. Through his brother Jonathan, I grew very close to the Godden family and Ansie, and even after graduation continued to visit and do activities regularly. I've graduated from Liberty and am working remotely in Lynchburg for a cybersecurity company.

Hey! My name is Anna, I have known ansie since we were 5. Growing up, we loved having sleepovers, cooking shows, and planning out our lives on sheets of notebook paper (including our weddings haha ;) ). We went to elementary school together for a little, went on camping trips with our dads, and have seen each other grow up over the past 17 years. Over the years, despite living in different states, we constantly keep up over FaceTime; it has been so sweet to have such a constant person in my life and to have a “long distance sister.” I am so excited to stand beside Ansie during this exciting season of engagement/marriage!!

How I know Ans: (oh the stories I could tell, I’ll spare the details) we met at Liberty when we lived on the same hall freshman year but we didn’t really become friends until second semester. we roomed together last year & became really close (:
