As believers, Andrew and Andrea both know there is no such thing as “dumb luck.” The series of events that allowed their paths to cross was an act of God — bringing two people together to live for and honor Him as husband and wife, children of God. Andrew, a son to Lonnie and Pamela Sansburn and brother to three sisters, was born in Denver, Colorado, in September. Andrea, a daughter to David and Vera Luna and sister to eight siblings, was born in Hemet, California, in January. For no particular reason, David Luna moved his family to Pueblo, Colorado. Years later, Andrew was led to Colorado State University–Pueblo through a wrestling scholarship to pursue his degree. At the same time, Andrea was attending Grand Canyon University in Arizona — a state away — while her future husband was unknowingly settling in her hometown more than a thousand miles from where she was studying. Before leaving for college, and throughout her teenage years, Andrea’s involvement in her church, Praise Assembly, created many meaningful friendships. One of those friends happened to be dating one of Andrew’s teammates. This mutual friend insisted that Andrea reach out to Andrew. Although getting to know each other from different states was challenging, not long after they connected, COVID hit and both were sent home from their college dorms to finish their freshman semester remotely. With both of them now back in Colorado, they were finally able to spend time together in person and begin building their relationship. They began dating in March of 2020. Since then, Andrew and Andrea have traveled the world together while finishing their degrees and caring for their dog, Zuko. Upon graduation, Andrew began looking toward what was next for both him and Andrea. Because of his love for his family and his nation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force to build a better and brighter future for them. In order to remain together permanently, no matter where the military would send Andrew, the two eloped on September 18, 2023. Two years from that day, they will finally celebrate their wedding. Andrew and Andrea feel this ceremony is a meaningful way to honor each other, as well as the family and friends who helped shape them into the people they are today. It is the community that raised them that helped make them such a perfect match, and the foundation of faith instilled in them that ultimately brought them together. The series of events that led Andrew and Andrea to this moment is a testament to God and to the people they are blessed to share this day with
