Things To Do
As you may know, there are a million ways to have fun at the beach. The groom happens to be a seasoned explorer of this area. He says "Having grown up spending my summers here, my favorite thing was diving into the lake and exploring it's endemic wildlife. The local aquatic animals include fresh water clams, orange newts and many species of fish". Above the water, who knows what you'll find. Mostly people walking their dogs and the occasional bird.... Perhaps if you're adventurous the locals might let you borrow a kayak or two, that is if the bride and groom don't get them first. If you don't swim then take a hike around the lake! This is my absolute favorite lake and it's surrounded by wild huckleberries! I love to walk around and breath in the fresh air. One time I was surprised to find that the dunes are right next to it! After your hike, go eat at the local bar. The chowder is excellent!
