Fisher Point
In the mood for a beautiful hike through the forest? Park your car at Canyon Vista campground and head for Sandy's Canyon Trailhead! From there, you'll climb down through the canyon and all the way up to Fisher's Point– the same spot where we got engaged on December 23, 2021. Enjoy the stunning views and soak up the sun. Wear good hiking boots and bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen because it's a fairly long and challenging hike.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff
If you're looking for native greenery and stunning views of Mt. Humphrey, head over to The Arboretum at Flagstaff. It's the perfect spot for a quiet walk or a picnic.
Lowell Observatory
Lowell Observatory is one of the oldest observatories in the country, and was home to the discovery of Pluto! They offer general admission during the day with tours and activities, plus premium telescope experiences at night.
Walnut Canyon National Monument
This massive, curved canyon features original Sinagua cliff dwellings dating back to the 1100s. Wear good walking shoes and come prepared to climb many stairs!
Oak Creek Canyon
If you find yourself with enough time to make a day trip to Sedona, take the scenic route along 89A and explore Oak Creek Canyon! The drive and destination are unbeatably gorgeous.
Fat Olives
This restaurant has earned Andrew's coveted rating of "Best Pizza in Town." This is your chance to indulge in some amazing Neapolitan pies blessed by Guy Fieri himself. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend. Their pizza travels well if you opt for take out!
