We met at La Salle University, crossing paths in the Honors Program, the Communication building and a few Business classes. We remember completing at least seven group projects together, not counting our involvement in extracurricular activities. Andrew taught Alyssa how to drive the 14-passenger van as tour guides, while Alyssa convinced Andrew to apply for the Project Appalachia service trip. We like to think that the lessons we taught each other led to Alyssa becoming the Head ACE (boss of the tour guides) and both of us becoming leaders on our service trips. Over our early years at La Salle, we built a solid friendship. When we started dating during our senior year, the jump from friendship to a relationship felt natural. From there, we supported each other through La Salle graduation, AmeriCorps, Rutgers Law School, our first real jobs, first apartments with roommates, and so much more. When we moved in together, we both thought it would be a huge adjustment. As it turned out, living with your best friend is kind of the best thing ever. Andrew proposed in November of 2024 after consulting with Alyssa’s parents, his family, and his best friends on what the ring and the day should look like to make the engagement amazing for Alyssa. We got engaged in Logan Square on what turned out to be a gorgeous November Saturday. We went to dinner on the top floor of the tallest building in Philadelphia, went to a local bar (Grace and Proper) for a cocktail, and ended the night with a bonfire in our backyard while we FaceTimed our families to share the night with them. Now all that’s left is the wedding! All of our group project experience has prepared us for this — we’ve heard that marriage is the ultimate group project. We can’t wait for what’s in store for September 2026 and beyond, and we’re so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends.
