One evening as I was working late in the office I was sitting down in my cubicle. As I glanced up above the wall to my cube I saw the most beautiful bouncing blonde hair. I immediately stood up and saw the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She was being interviewed for a job and I couldn't stop thinking about her. The next day I went to the interviewer's office and asked if the interview went well. "It sure did Andrew and she starts at the end of the summer!" From then on I would walk by her cubicle to see "Alysa Thomson starts July 31st". Counting down the days until she would start and I could finally get to say hello to this absolute knockout. When she finally came into the office, it was awkward conversation after awkward conversation until I finally got the nerve to ask her out for coffee on September 28th, 2017. We then talked for over three hours at a coffee shop overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. After that we have been inseparable.
It was really a series of unfortunate events. We went out to dinner with my family and when we got home, Andrew asked if I wanted to go for coffee and a drive. I replied, "If I can go in my pajamas." He finally encouraged me to change (thankfully). We got some coffee and drove up to an overlook in Draper. Andrew started telling me how much he loved me, it was so sweet but I still had no idea. He had his big Yeti water bottle with him and he started struggling with it trying to get something out. I asked what was inside it and he replied that the guys at work must be joking with him. We walked back to the car and that's when it hit me... OH MY GOD there is a ring in that water bottle and this has got to be his worst nightmare. He went to the men's room and when he got back in the truck I was shaking and so nervous! We started on the drive home and along the way he pulled over on a dirt road and we got out, I totally knew what was coming at that point. A family from Tennessee was out taking pictures of the mountains and kept asking us questions about the area, poor Andrew. We walked down a nearby path and I have no idea what he said but the most gorgeous ring ever was put on my finger and I get to marry the goofiest guy ever! I am a lucky woman:)
