A beautiful campus with gorgeous natural landscape and historic buildings. No matter your interests, you’ll find something cool happening on the campus of UC Berkeley. Hit up any number of sporting events (some of which are free), explore the Hogwarts-like Doe Library or even try to find the life-size T-Rex hiding inside one of the halls. The campus opens up to infamous Telegraph Ave and downtown Berkeley's Shattuck Ave where Alia spent lots of time growing up and where her and Andrew first lived together.

Cable car rides! Visitor Information Center: Right below the Powell Street cable car turnaround in Hallidie Plaza, you can book a hotel room, find out about a restaurant, get the lowdown on attractions or just stop by to ask questions. Union Square: Posh hotels, boutique inns, famous and innovative restaurants and some of the finest department stores and designer shops in the region are just a short walk from BART. Westfield Centre: One hundred and seventy specialty stores all share space at the center, including the largest Bloomingdale’s outside of New York City and the second largest Nordstrom. This beach is wonderful and has great, sweeping views of the pacific - cloudy or sunny. The trail also runs along this so you can include this stop along your trail hike! A great place to bring the family and hangout for the day. Lots of parking spots and well maintained beach.

Santa Cruz

The natural environment in and around Downtown Santa Cruz is really unmatched. The many sidewalk cafes along the tree-lined sidewalks create a comfortable pedestrian experience, giving Downtown Santa Cruz a walk score in the high 90’s. Santa Cruz County's 29 miles of sun-splashed, fun-filled beaches offer something for everyone. From dramatic windswept cliffs to the wide expanses of sand and sea, you're sure to find your sweet spot on the sand. UC Santa Cruz is a Redwood rich campus full of beautiful vistas, hikes, and trails. Don't forget the rides at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
